Regenerative Communications
We have defined three core characteristics of regenerative communications that we focus on throughout our offer:
Essence
Essence asks, what visible and invisible qualities are unique to who and what you are as an organization? While many focus on brand identity, essence is deeper than that. It is the heart and soul of your organization.
Place
Place says something about the living systems in which you are embedded and which you seek to elevate to greater health, vitality, and resilience. Working from and with a place shapes your brand, as well as how and with whom you communicate. How does being part of a community or region affect your brand and ways of communicating with your audiences?
Potential
Your potential reveals how your organization can help manifest the latent possibilities within a place, community, or ecosystem to grow, evolve, and thrive.
Once you bring these together, you have a clearer idea about the gifts you bring to manifest the potential or latent possibilities of a specific place or system to enable it to thrive and evolve — with respect and devotion to all lives.
Your communications embody and radiate your essence, and like nectar-rich flowers, attract and build a supportive community of people who believe in what you do and why you do it. Through storytelling, you refocus attention on what matters, inspire, educate, and initiate action for thriving futures.
When your communications spring forth from your essence, they are more likely to be perceived as authentic, beautiful, and enlivening. They become magnetic, which means you don’t have to always compete for attention or push your message. People resonate with your messaging and feel empowered to create meaningful change in their locality.

1 Comms Assessment
Where are you today with your communications and brand? In our assessment, we will identify where you are on your journey of regeneration and what this means for your communications.
We will look at your communication as an ecology:
- What is nourishing your brand, where are conflicts, and what can be developed upon?
- What synergies can be created between your brand and the larger fields you operate in?
This assessment will help you gain clarity about your value proposition and the nature of engagement with your clients and stakeholders.
2 Regenerative Branding
I. (re:)discovering your brand essence
Our custom-designed brand essence approach explores the unique energy of your brand around the four elements. This has important implications for:
- Air: the message of your story and narrative
- Water: the emotional reality of what you do
- Earth: what your communications help to materialize
- Fire: how your passion actively contributes to a sense of community as part of the web of life
II. Brand coaching
We further materialize the essence of your brand through brand coaching sessions. Using our frameworks and tools that are based on an ecological understanding of branding, we will look at dimensions like:
- the roots of your brand (its history, foundational myth, traditions, etc.)
- the stem of your brand (what makes it strong, what is it growing?)
- and the fruit (what is your dream, what do you share, where will you spread your wisdom?).
III. Brand Ecology
In the third step of the branding process, we will consider pathways to express unique brand essence to audiences, customers, and your whole communication ecosystem. The ecological lens will help us:
- identify the most promising pathways for investing time, energy, and resources
- while identifying the fertile soil for your brand to flourish (incl. places and communities).
- This will inform which kind of media to use and how.
3 Communications Strategy
To help you spread the word and grow, we design a multichannel and story-based communication strategy and campaigns. Depending on your unique essence and communication style, we identify which types of communications feel most authentic.
We explore the potential role of video, social media, 1–1 conversations, group conversations, workshops, print media, and others.
We invite you to be brave. We gesture towards creative and unconventional ways of communicating, always emphasizing the role of place-sourced communications.
4 Regenerative Storytelling
We develop a compelling story that reflects your essence, mission, and vision.
Clarifying your brand’s role in a regenerative future not only fills your strategy with life, but also meaningfully engages audiences key to your success.
We also provide additional support in sourcing and writing copy and essays that amplify your brand voice and create meaningful connections with your growing audience/community.
We are strong believers in creating platforms where your stakeholders – such as the people who make and use your product or service, can share their stories and dreams. They will find themselves reflected in what you do and stand for.
5 Web design
We offer web design to create an online presence for your brand. By design, your website will not only be sustainable (less energy use, run on renewables) but also integrate regenerative principles.
The User Experience of the website:
- creates a beautiful, enlivening experience
- simplifies information, so users can find what they need easily
- helps users learn, gain more wisdom, and stay informed
- become part of something bigger (e.g. the community around your brand, your projects, etc.)
- and help them leave with a positive feeling (inspiration, wonder, gratitude, etc.)
6 Regenerative Communication Workshops
creatively explore themes including but not limited to:
- Why and how to tell stories that inform, enliven, and inspire;
- The role of imagination in communications;
- How teams can nourish and draw from their creative life force to work from a place of authenticity and abundance.
